Wellies and How they Fit

I have tried on loads of wellies and none have fitted. Why are Jileon wellies different?

Other manufacturers work with a standard mould for their wellington boot
manufacture and just cut the rubber at the top to allow more space there.

We realise that wide calf wellies need to be wide throughout the foot, ankle
and leg and so have created our own unique mould which is genuinely wide fit.
This allows you to slip them on and off easily and still provides space for
thick socks for most people.

Where do you manufacture your wellies?

All of our boots are designed in the UK but there are no rubber boot
factories in the UK. The vast majority of our wellies are made in Asia in a
factory we have been working with for several years now. The one exception are
our hard wearing
extra wide fit boots
which are made in Eastern Europe at a factory
which has been making boots for decades.

How do I choose the right pair to fit me?

We provide a simple guide to measuring your feet and leg correctly. Then you
can see which of our boots will work for your measurements. Take a look at
our size guide here

What shoe size should I take?

Our boots come up large. We always recommend taking your normal shoe size
even if you would normally go a size up when buying wellies, and want to fit
thick socks. If you are between sizes (e.g. 6.5), then we would recommend
sizing down to a 6 for example.

This recommendation is from 15 years of experience of selling our boots. We
really do want you to get the right boot first time.

What are your boots made from?

We manufacture our boots from 100% high quality durable rubber, which is
vegan. They are built to last and we guarantee them for 1 year, which is longer
than most other manufacturers offer, as we believe in the quality we offer.

How do you design your wellies?

We have been making wide calf wellies now for over 15 years. During this
time, every time we have developed new models, it has been based on the
feedback of our customers.

There are millions of people who are not looked after by the larger welly
manufacturers, and we want to help. Most manufacturers make wide calf wellies
in the same mould as their normal boots but just expand the boots at the top.
This does not take into account the fact that most curvy people also need more
space in the foot and ankle.

We design our boots from the sole upwards to meet your needs with our unique
wide fitting mould.

We are proud to say that we manufacture the widest calf wellies in the
world, and have got tens of thousands of people back into wellies for the first
time in years.

Can I try out your boots in any shops?

We are an online business, so do not sell into retailers in the UK. This
allows us to provide you with the boots at cheaper prices by not having to pay
the retailer.

We realise that it can be tricky to buy footwear confidently online but have
created a detailed size guide to help you choose the right boots first time.
Take a look here at our sizing page and if
you still have any concerns or need help, you can call us on 01488 647253 or
email us at help@jileon.com

I have wide calves but narrow ankles. Do you have any boots to fit me?

We have had a lot of customers over the years who have found our traditional
boots too baggy in the ankles.

Therefore we have designed a new welly that should work for you perfectly.
Take a look at these black
and white spotty boots
. They are still wide in the calf but more fitted in
the ankle to make walks more comfortable for you.

Why don't you make size 3 or size 12 boots?

Unfortunately we have explored this, but the cost of the last (mould) in these sizes was quite high compared to our predicted sales, so we could not afford to do this.

Shipping

Do you offer free shipping?

Yes, we offer free shipping on all of our UK deliveries. Furthermore, if you
spend more than £50, we deliver free next business day on the UK mainland (if
order is received by midday). If you do spend less than £50, you can still get
next day delivery  at a cost of just £3.99

How long does delivery take?

Being free doesn’t mean it should take a long time. But, delivery times
do vary and depend on both the value of the boot that you’re buying and you’re
location.

For all our orders over £50, we’re able to offer a free next day delivery
service for mainland UK if you place your order by 12:00 p.m.

For orders under £50, they are sent by Royal Mail and can take between 2-5
days.

Do you ship internationally?

Unfortunately since Brexit, we are far more limited on where we can ship due
to the added customs regulations. In the EU, we can still ship to France,
Germany, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Austria & Spain. We are looking to
expand this list in the future.

If you are based in the US, you can purchase directly from our stock in the
US at our US website - www.jileonrainboots.com

If you are based in Canada, we do hold a limited amount of stock on Amazon so
please take a look there as shipping costs are a lot cheaper that way.

How do I know when my order will be delivered?

Assuming you’ve given us a mobile or e-mail address, DPD Local will contact
you with a one hour delivery window on the morning of delivery.  If this
doesn’t suit you, you have the option to ask for the delivery to be left with a
neighbour, in a safe place or to arrange a more suitable time.

We’re delighted with DPD Local's performance.  Their service means that
there’s no more waiting around for a delivery between 8am and 6pm.

If you miss the courier, a calling card will be left saying that no one was
home. There’s a phone number for you to ring and arrange a more convenient
time.

For orders that are not next day delivery, these are sent out via Royal Mail
and will be delivered with your usual postal service.

What should I do if my wellies have not arrived as expected?

Please allow up to 10 working days for items shipped using Royal Mail.
After this time, please contact your local sorting office and your neighbours
as they may have tried to deliver whilst you were out and not left a card (it
does happen).

If they don’t have your parcel, please contact us directly and we’ll see
what we can do.

For items shipped via DPD Local, allow 2 working days before making
contact.  You can either contact DPD Local directly or us to trace missing
parcels.

Returns

My boots don't fit. Can I return them?

We understand that buying boots on the internet can be difficult, as you
never know if they will fit. We are happy to exchange your boots for a
different size or provide a refund if you are not happy with them for any
reason.

All we ask is that they are returned in 'as new condition' within 60 days of
receipt.

All of the details for returning our boots are shown on the back of the
invoice you will have received in the package.

How can I return my boots?

If you need to return an item, please complete the returns form that was
enclosed with the goods, and detail what you need, whether it be an exchange of
size or a refund. We will process any returned items within 48 hours of
them arriving back with us Monday - Friday.

For exchange of sizes and refunds, you will need to pay to return the boots,
but we will send the replacement pair out to you free of charge

What is the cheapest way to send them back?

You can choose any method to return the boots to us, but please be aware that costs and delivery times may vary.

The company currently offering the best service in our opinion is Yodel (formerly Collect Plus), which is significantly cheaper than Royal Mail for all adult wellies (£4.60 for standard boots), and can be sent from over 7000 local shops. This is merely a recommendation and we can take no responsbility for their service.

Return items to us using Collect+

Click on the above link, pay and print out the return label. Then just put the label on the package and drop it at your nearest local shop, which can be found by entering your postcode at step 5. Take a look at the below video which shows how the system works.

What is your return address?

You can find all the details on the back of the invoice, but if you can't
find this, please send the boots back to:

Jileon Returns

Unit 4 Bockhampton Manor Farm Buildings

Newbury Road

Lambourn

RG17 7LX

Do you extend the returns window for Christmas presents?

Of course. For Christmas gifts, you can return these up until January 15th for a full refund.

Why don't you offer free returns?

We thought about this, but most companies that offer this absorb the costs
in other areas – for example putting up the price of their products. We don’t
want to do that, so decided to keep things as transparent as possible by
letting you know from the offset that it’s our policy to charge for returns.

My wellies are damaged. How do I get a replacement pair?

We offer a 1 year warranty on all of our boots for normal wear and tear
damage. To save costs and time on both sides, if you do have a problem, please
take some photos of the damage and send them to us at help@jileon.com together
with your name, address and order number.

This will allow us to take a look at the damage quickly  and get some
replacements sent out for you. Please don't send the boots back to us unless we
request it. Our policy is to replace the boots within warranty rather than
refund you
